Remaining houses at Panglao Bohol Airport demolished

The remaining houses inside the construction area of the Panglao Bohol Airport in the resort town of Panglao were demolished yesterday.

Demolition of the homes situated in Barangay Bolod started at 10 a.m., said PO3 Rey Tagaan of the Panglao Police Station.

According to Tagaan, only three houses were left when the demolition team started operations as other residents had already evacuated even prior to the start of the airport’s construction. Two of the houses were already abandoned, while one family fought to remain in their home and stayed until demolition was already about to start.

The house was owned by one Pascasio Bungos, who was eventually forced to evacuate due to a court order mandating his family’s evacuation.
